where to shop, where to eat, & what to do

Alright the long awaited list is being revealed…

First of all, cannot believe how many of you are traveling to Paris this fall, someone take me with?

If I can’t be there, living vicariously through you is the next best thing. Here is my COMPLETE list of everything I do when I visit Paris.

Of course we start with the shopping:

• Best Department Store: La Samaritaine

• Best Concept Store: Merci

• Best Handbags/Shoes Luxury Consignment: Closet2Closet

• Best Classic Designer Vintage: seven boys & girls

• Best One of a Kind Designer Vintage Find: Pretty Box

• Best High End Designer Finds: Parisian Vintage

• Local Designers to Check Out: Soeur & Valentine Gauthier

If this is not enough, here are the places on my “need to visit list:” Thanx God I’m a VIP, Palace Callas, Open Dressing, Skat Vintage, Takk Paris, and Martine & Nous.

One thing to note most, vintage stores require appointments. If they are not busy you can likely walk in, but if they are busy or have scheduled appointments you will be asked to come back. If you want it all scheduled for you, I highly recommend working with Cecile from Le Grand Boulevard to schedule a personalized shopping day. 

And what’s shopping if you can’t wear your new outfits out on the town? Here are my favorite restaurants to visit:

• Coffee:

  • The Coffee (great matcha here too)

  • Cafe Madame

  • Angelinas (take to go and sit in the gardens)

• Lunch

  • Cafe Charlot

  • St Regis (Not the hotel, but the cafe, and you have to order a Croque Monsieur)

  • Les Marche Des Enfant (at the seafood counter)

  • L’ami Jean

  • Le Fountaine de Mars

  • Ralph’s (for the garden experience)

• Drinks

  • Little Red Door

  • Bar Hemingway (great to do after visiting the designer store, but note you must get there early to avoid a crazy wait)

• Dinner

  • Benoit (for classic French)

  • Parcelles (for modern French)

  • Racines (for Italian)

  • Ake (for amazing cuisine and wine)

For the those that want to explore, outside of the known Museums in Paris, here are my top 3 “activities:”

• La Galerie Dior - beyond worth it, could spend forever in that museum. Grab your tickets early to avoid waiting day of.

• Crazy Horse - it did make a debut in Emily Paris and the last time I went was before the “fame,” but truly such a fun show

• Versailles - a day trip or even a night here is so worth it
