🛑 ✍🏻overloading ✍🏻on ✍🏻basics - I have been challenging myself to add more personality pieces to my wardrobe and it is so much more fun to get dressed. 😍It’s a creative outlet for me! 🎨

Idk why I got into the rut of buying never ending basics— probably because it’s practical to think that these are the best value per use. But if styling is a priority then it value can also mean buying the personality pieces that we will be excited to wear as much as a basic. 🙃

100% I also think many people preach that with basics or 100% neutrals you can build more outfits... but hot take: I don't agree. I think with any wardrobe that is truly curated to your style, body, life you should be able to build endless outfits.

I love that you are having fun! Getting ready should be fun!

Definitely a hot take and I can’t agree more!! I think my challenge now is figuring out my personality pieces. Currently still going back to every outfit and asking myself “would I wear the candy necklace with this outfit.” After enough yes’s, I have my answer. New style math! 💍✖️👗👚🥿👖➗♾️🟰😍

I love that process... ask yourself now so you know you will wear it later!

Never thought of this way !! 👀 My mom is gonna be so upset she just started building her capsule wardrobe lol

HAHA! It's all mindset, if that helps her get it done right then power to her. I just have found over the years people have attached rule to capsule wardrobes that sometimes hinder more than help.
