Spring is creeping in, and with it comes my seasonal wardrobe itch—that feeling when I know my closet needs a refresh, but I also know I need to be smart about it. Every piece I bring in has to earn its place, mix effortlessly, and most importantly… make me excited to get dressed.
Here’s what’s on my radar and how I am thinking about it… completely unfiltered:
1. The Grey Trouser
My transitional piece of the season. I’ve been on the hunt for a classic tailored grey trouser for months, and honestly, now is the perfect time to snag one on sale. There’s just something about a grey trouser paired with softer spring tones that feels effortlessly chic. The kind of piece that feels cool without trying. Plus, my trouser obsession is real right now, so why stop? To me, this is an investment piece, hence why the hunt has been long & slow. Here are my top two picks here.
2. Lace-Trim Skirts
This trend speaks to my soul—it’s timeless, sexy, and versatile. I love the masculine/feminine mix of styling it with sneakers for day and then heels for night. But my struggle? I already have two black skirts. If I buy another black one, I know something won’t get worn. (Shopping tip: I always ask myself “If I buy this is there something I will stop wearing” to avoid duplicative items)
Leaning white. There are also a ton of pastels, but don’t know if that is “me.” Here are my top picks. (Spoiler: there are two black options for those that need a good black skirt)
3. Building My Neck Stack
This is the jewelry project I’ve been wanting to tackle… this has been on my annual wishlist for a few year. I know, I have a terrible habit of dropping $$$ on a designer bag and then overthinking a $7 coffee or an investment piece of jewelry. Make it make sense.
Here’s the goal: a stack I can mix and match daily, one that transitions seamlessly from day to night but still feels uniquely me. I want it to feel personal, effortless, and unique. It’s time. I want to bring in color and some texture. But this is a vision in process. Here are the pieces I am eyeing, but will be a slow burn to add.
4. White Denim
I want them all. Seriously. I was recently gifted a pair of J.Crew white denim that I love, and it made me realize—I need a summer version of my beloved white wool trousers. Enter: Mother’s tuxedo jeans. These are flying off the racks, so I just pulled the trigger. Stay tuned for a review. But of course, my barrel jean obsession is screaming at me too… the internal debate continues. You truly can’t beat the $49 JCrew Kick Flare… here the top 3 that caught my eye this season.
5. Shoes: Bridging the Gap
Here’s the problem: I own too many heels. And when I’m not in heels, I’m in sneakers. Which leaves a massive gap for summer shoes that fall somewhere in between.
Summer dressing is tricky for me. I’m not a huge dress girl (but I want to be), I don’t love shorts, and if I could wear leather and denim year-round, I would. So, I need fun shoes that inject personality into my summer wardrobe without making me feel like I’m betraying my winter soul. Here’s what feel fun and flirty, but still me? Not being paid, wish I was, ha, but clearly into Larroude. Loving the practicality of their designs, but the fun patterns. Shop them here.

6. Sunnies: The Bold Choice
Okay, this is the one where I might be going off the rails, but hear me out: bold colored frames. I just feel like this summer, my sunglasses need to be a whole personality. And right now? I’m leaning red. What do we think? Too much? Just right? Tell me before I commit. Check them out here.

Okay, that’s the list—for now. Because we all know how these things evolve. But I’d love to hear from you: What’s on your spring wishlist? Are you also in a shopping existential crisis, or is that just me? Let’s discuss.
